Ex-Deutsche, Apollo lawyer Atulya Sharma set to join HSA Advocates

Bar & Bench

Former Global Chief Legal Counsel of Apollo Tyres Atulya Sharma will join HSA Advocates.

Sharma joins HSA as the firm’s Banking & Finance Partner. This was first reported by VCCircle. In a telephonic conversation, HSA Managing Partner Amitabh Sharma confirmed Atulya’s joining and said,

“Atulya is a seasoned lawyer who brings with him a distinguished track record of being an experienced banker. Having catered to a varied A-list clientele as an in-house practitioner, and having served as a partner in another competing law firm, Atulya has been instrumental in delivering renowned work within the spectrum of Banking & Finance practice.

We, at HSA, are driven to successfully serve each and every client with the best of talents and bringing Atulya on board amongst our distinguished band of banking partners led by Anjan and of course Harsh, Nilesh and KK Tiwari, was a strategic decision in our attempt to further leverage our commitment to our distinguished banking clients in corporates looking for exemplary legal services for their banking requirements.”

Prior to IDFC, he was working with Dua Associates, where he was a Senior Partner in the firm’s Mumbai office, heading the firm’s Corporate Finance and Banking practice.

In December 2014, he had quit Deutsche Bank to join Apollo Tyres as Global Chief Legal Counsel shortly thereafter.

HSA has been on a hiring spree and recently expanded its presence in Kolkata with ex Argus Co-founder Ramya Hariharan and Paras Kuhad’s Prateek Ghosh.
