[Exclusive]: Cyril Amarchand to lose 11th Partner? VP Singh may be heading to AZB Delhi

Singh is likely to resign from the firm to join AZB & Partners in Delhi, according to authoritative sources.

VP Singh’s probable hire comes after the recent exit of Percival Billimoria for Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

AZB Managing Partner Ajay Bahl and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Managing Partner Cyril Shroff did not respond to messages seeking comment.

VP Singh, who had relocated to Mumbai from the Delhi office of Amarchand Mangaldas in 2013, will be moving back to Delhi.

A graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore, VP Singh started his career with Amarchand Mangaldas and has been part of the firm’s litigation practice.

VP Singh will be the sixth partner from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas to join AZB in recent times. The other five include Ashwath Rau, Ganesh Rao, Anu Tiwari, Dhruv Singh and Competition Head Nisha Kaur Uberoi, who is still serving her notice period.

Over the last three months, Cyril Amarchand has seen the exit of ten of its partners across Mumbai and Delhi.
