Former Khaitan, AZB Partner Vaishali Sharma starts ‘Agram Legal Consultants’

Vaishali Sharma, who had recently resigned from Khaitan & Co has set up her own law firm called ‘Agram Legal Consultants’, which is a Sanskrit word and means ‘new beginnings’.

Vaishali says, “It was always my dream to set up my own firm and do things the way I want to. After spending about 15 years with Tier 1 law firms, I thought it was time to set up my own thing.”

The office is based out of One Indianbulls Centre in Lower Parel. Vaishali says she is interviewing couple of lawyers who will join the firm in May – June.

Vaishali specialises in domestic and cross-border M&A work, private equity, contract negotiations, restructuring, joint ventures and competition law and will continue to focus on these areas at her own firm.

She joined Khaitan in October 2010 prior to which she was working with AZB & Partners as a Partner. She has previously worked with Kochhar & Co, Majmudar & Partners. She started her career with Desai & Diwanji after graduating from Government Law College, Mumbai.
