Former Odisha governor and Senior Advocate Murlidhar C Bhandare passed away on June 15, Saturday at the age of 95 years.
Bhandare was born on December 10, 1928. He practiced as a Senior Advocate before the Supreme Court and was also the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) for two terms.
Between 1980 and 1994, he served three terms as a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP). In August 2007, he was appointed as Governor of Odisha, a role he continued till March 2013
His cremation ceremony will take place at Lodhi Road Crematorium at 5 PM on Sunday, June 16.
