Former Supreme Court Judge Surinder Singh Nijjar passes away

Justice Surinder Singh Nijjar, who served as a Supreme Court judge passed away at the age of 71, on Friday morning, due to cardiac arrest.

Former Supreme Court judge, Justice Surinder Singh Nijjar, passed away at aged 71. He suffered a cardiac arrest according to Tribune.

Justice Nijjar also served as the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court and as judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court and Bombay High Court.

He was appointed to the Supreme Court on November 17, 2009 and retired on June 6, 2014.
