Four Indian arbitration practitioners have been recently appointed as regional representatives for the South Asia chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Young Arbitrators and ADR Forum (ICC YAAF) for the 2026-2028 mandate.

The four practitioners are namely, Dr Abhimanyu Chopra, Anushka Shah, Niyati Gandhi and Sneha Nagaraj.

The four are part of a cohort of 116 Regional Representatives appointed across ICC YAAF’s seven regional chapters.

The seven regional chapters are Africa, Middle East, North Asia, South Asia, Europe & Central Asia, Latin America, and North America. The South Asia chapter also includes representatives from Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Bhutan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

ICC YAAF is the young practitioners’ network of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. Its regional representatives work with their respective chapter heads to develop young practitioners’ networks and organise events and initiatives in their regions.

• Dr Abhimanyu Chopra

  Dr Abhimanyu Chopra is a partner at AZB & Partners and is based in Delhi. He has over 14 years of experience in litigation and disputes, with a practice spanning commercial disputes, arbitration, intellectual property and technology law. He is also associated with the ICC India Arbitration Group's Research and Policy Committee sub-committee.

• Anushka Shah

  Anushka Shah, partner at Unum Law, is a dual-qualified lawyer based in New Delhi who focuses on international disputes and commercial matters. She has also been long involved with the Young SIAC and Young ICCA networks.

• Niyati Gandhi

  Niyati Gandhi, partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, is based in Mumbai. She practises in international investment and commercial arbitration, complex commercial litigation and multi-jurisdictional enforcement. She has also, previously, served as Secretary to MCIA's Rules Drafting Committee and Co-Chair of Young MCIA.

• Sneha Nagaraj

  Sneha Nagaraj, FCIArb, Partner at Frontline Law Partners in Bengaluru, is a litigator, arbitrator and mediator. She specialises in complex commercial disputes. She is also associated with the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR).

The four Indian practitioners will serve alongside the other 11 South Asia representatives under Tejus Chauhan, the Director; Irene Mira and Khushboo Deshmukh the Deputy Directors for the South Asia chapter.
