Gautam Bhatikar and team join Phoenix Legal from Legasis Partners

Bhatikar joined the firm today along with a team of five lawyers.

Former Senior Partner at Legasis Partners Gautam Bhatikar has joined Phoenix Legal as a Partner in Mumbai.

Bhatikar joined the firm today along with a team of five lawyers - Counsel Zoeb Cutlerywala; Senior Associates Pinak Bhagwat and Vikram Kamath; and Associates Farhad Dalal and Shruti Salian.

Commenting on the development, Bhatikar said in a press release,

"My early interactions with the partners indicate a clear vision and focus on providing quality and value to clients, and I am excited at the prospect of contributing to Phoenix Legal's growth in the dispute resolution arena."

A graduate of University of Goa, Bhatikar is a dual qualified lawyer, having registered as a Solicitor with the Law Society of England and Wales. He is a maritime, shipping and insurance specialist. His focus areas include commercial disputes and complex international commercial arbitrations in India, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

Prior to his stint at Legasis Partners, Bhatikar had worked at Kochhar & Co and ALMT Legal. He has previously also worked at Paras Kuhad Associates and Mulla & Mulla.
