IC Legal makes Suneet Barve its seventh Partner

IC Legal has promoted Principal Associate Suneet Barve to partnership

effective April 1, 2016. Suneet had joined IC Legal in January 2015.

Suneet is the seventh partner at IC Legal, making the firm a 40 lawyer strong team, spread across three offices in Mumbai. Suneet is part of the Corporate and Financial Services team.

A graduate of Jitendra Chauhan College of Law, Mumbai, Suneet started his practice with Crawford Bayley & Co. He later joined Nishith Desai Associates and in 2008 he moved to Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund as head of legal. Later in 2012, he joined Malvi Ranchoddas & Co. after which he moved to IC Legal.

His practice areas span across Corporate, Securities and Exchange Control laws with expertise in advising mutual funds and offshore and onshore fund clients on fund structuring, documentation and regulatory registrations.

The Firm is targeting a headcount of 50 lawyers by the end of financial year 2016-17 and is also in the process of opening an office in Bangalore according to the firm release.
