IndusLaw Partner Ran Chakrabarti has left the firm. He has relocated overseas to pursue other interests. Ran had joined IndusLaw in August 2014.

Confirming this development, IndusLaw Senior Partner Gaurav Dani said,

“Ran left us in early June 2019 to pursue other interests. We thank him for his invaluable contribution to the Firm for the 5 years he spent with us. We will cherish his association with IndusLaw and wish him well!.”

Ran, who is a graduate of London School of Economics and King’s College London, initially worked in the London and Singapore offices of Ashurst, and White & Case in the finance and projects team before moving back to India to work with Amarchand Mangaldas.

In 2007, he joined Amarchand Mangaldas as a Director in the Project & finance team. He worked there for almost two years after which he set up his own niche practice, advising foreign companies and financial institutions on their inbound India work and Indian companies on their outbound joint ventures and acquisitions.

Recently, IndusLaw has poached L&L Partners Capital Markets Partner Manan Lahoty and his team.
