J. Sagar Associates Partner Chitra Narayan, who had joined as Retained Partner in March last year following the merger with Vichar Partners, has resigned.

Confirming her resignation, Chitra said,

“I have been a mediator with the Tamil Nadu Media & Conciliation Centre for about ten years and a year and a half ago I along with others co-founded Private Initiative for Mediation and I want to focus on that now.”

JSA Managing Partner Berjis Desai commented, “She was keen to pursue a career in mediation principally. Sad to lose an excellent resource.”

An NLSIU graduate, Chitra was one of the three co-founders of Vichar Partners. In 2010 Chitra, Paras Kuhad Associates’ Vinod Kumar, and Universal Legal’s Aarthi Sivanandh founded Vichar Parters.

Prior to setting up Vichar Partners, Chitra was working at Dua Associates.

This is the second Partner-level departure reported at the firm in recent times. Nandini Mehta, a Partner in the Mumbai office, was recently appointed as General Counsel at Housing.Com.
