JSA Equity Partner Abeezar E. Faizullabhoy leaves to take up Executive role in Power Company

J. Sagar Associates Equity Partner, Abeezar E. Faizullabhoy has resigned from the firm after spending 12 years with the firm to join a power project company as Chief Executive Officer.

His area of practice includes infrastructure & regulatory practice, corporate commercial, litigation and alternate dispute resolution. Abeezar is a graduate of University of Mumbai and a Solicitor from Bombay Incorporated Law Society.

Abeezar, in the firm’s press release said, “It was not an easy decision to give up on the best 12 years of my professional life that I enjoyed in JSA and while I leave to be on the other side of the table.”

The firm has recently promoted two retained partners to Equity Partner Elect taking the total number of equity partners to around 23. Recent promotions also include sixteen new Partners being made across four offices yesterday with two more Senior Associates making Partner with effect from April 1, 2013.

The flurry of promotions follows the retirement of Jyoti Sagar, the man who founded the firm more than two decades ago.
