[Exclusive]: Another Departure: JSA Mumbai Partner Zerick Dastur resigns for independent practice

J. Sagar Associates Mumbai Partner Zerick Dastur has resigned from the firm to set up an independent counsel practice.

Confirming Zerick’s move, Joint Managing Partner Dina Wadia, said,

“Moving from firms to counsel practice seems to be in vogue these days. He’s a good guy and we hope he will do well. We wish him all the best.”

Zerick is a graduate of Government Law College, Mumbai. He started his career with JSA in 2006 and has been with the firm ever since. He was made Partner in 2012. His practice covers diverse areas of Corporate Commercial and Regulatory Disputes, Arbitration, Anti-trust, Competition and Securities law.

Zerick is the third partner to resign this month. Earlier, Delhi Partners Sumanto Basu and Pallavi Bedi resigned from the firm.

In December, the firm designated Amit Kapur as “Senior Partner” of the firm effective April 1, 2017. Amit will take over the role of Senior Partner from Berjis Desai, who is set to retire in March this year.
