Justice VK Tahilramani to take over as Acting Chief Justice of Bombay High Court

Justice VK Tahilramani will take over as Acting Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court on December, 5, 2017, according to a Government notification.

She will take over from Justice Manjula Chellur, who has been in charge since August 2016, and will attain superannuation on the said date.

Justice Vijaya Kamlesh Tahilramani had earlier served as Acting Chief Justice briefly in 2016, following the retirement of Justice DH  Waghela in August that year.

She, joined the Bar in 1982, and has served as a Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor for the State of Maharashtra. Justice Tahilramani was elevated to the Bench in the year 2001.
