M. V. Kini & Co., has promoted Senior Associate Ashish Suman to partnership in its Delhi office with effect from April 1, 2012.

M. V. Kini & Co., has promoted Senior Associate Ashish Suman to partnership in its Delhi office with effect from April 1, 2012.

Ashish is a graduate of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He started his career as a litigator with Senior Advocate A.S. Chandhiok and later went on to do his LL.M in Commercial Laws from University of Birmingham.  He is qualified to practice both in India and in the UK.

Ashish joined the firm in 2007 after returning from the UK and has been working as part of the corporate team since then.

Speaking to Bar & Bench Ashish said, “This is a huge responsibility and I look forward to further boosting the firm’s corporate practice. We are at a stage when we can further expand the corporate team”.

Ashish specializes in Corporate and Commercial Laws with distinguished and varied experience in dealing with complex issues related to Project Finance, Infrastructure Contracts, Capital Markets, Mergers, Acquisitions, Companies Act and Competition Law.

This takes the total number of the partners at the firm to 8.

Kini has also recently hired Shrikant Kamat as Tax Partner in its Mumbai office and re-hired Ram Varma as Corporate Partner for its Hyderabad and Bangalore offices.
