The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for 2026 will take place on December 7, 2025 from 2PM - 4PM.

The portal to apply for CLAT 2026 will be available from August 1 to October 31, 2025.

The decision was taken by the Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the Consortium during a meeting held on July 20, 2025.

The press release dated July 20, 2025 further reads,

"Further details regarding the syllabus, application and counselling process shall be released shortly."
