The Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (DNLU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with law firm, India Juris on April 18, 2025, to promote a mooting culture and advocacy-based learning among students.

The partnership with India Juris, a full-service law firm founded by Sameer Rastogi, formalizes the joint organization of the DNLU-INDIA JURIS Moot Court Competition, with India Juris being the title sponsor for a period of three years.

The MoU was signed by Registrar, DNLU, Dr Praveen Tripathi, and Managing Partner, India Juris, Sameer Rastogi. Present with them were Assistant Professor of Law, DNLU, Shashank Pathak, and senior representatives of India Juris.

As part of the agreement, the firm will extend professional support with partners and associates being involved in the moot as judges and mentors of the competition.

The moot will provide a platform to aspiring law students to hone their legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.

The MoU has not only reinforced the India Juris's aim to contribute to legal education and talent development but also DNLU's objective to provide students with real-world exposure, thereby continuing the University's ongoing efforts to enhance its institutional partnerships.
