Dr Uday Shankar joins HNLU Raipur as full-time Registrar

Prof Shankar was part of the founding faculty of HNLU in 2003.

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) Raipur has appointed Dr Uday Shankar as a full-time Registrar in the rank of a Professor of Law.

He took charge as Registrar on August 2, 2021.

Prof Shankar is on lien from the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law of IIT Kharagpur, and was also part of the founding faculty of HNLU in 2003. He served as an Assistant Professor at HNLU from 2003 to 2009 before joining IIT Kharagpur.

He holds a PhD degree from the Delhi University Law Faculty and specializes in the fields of Public Law, Constitutional Law, Energy Law, Human Rights and Transport Law.

He was awarded a fellowship by the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg, Germany in 2008
