[BREAKING] Central government notifies appointment of Justice Satish Chandra Sharma as Chief Justice of Delhi High Court

The Supreme Court collegium had recommended his transfer in a resolution passed on May 17, 2022.

The Central government on Sunday notified the appointment of Telangana High Court Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma as Chief Justice of Delhi High Court.

The Supreme Court collegium headed by Chief Justice of India NV Ramana had recommended his transfer in a resolution passed on May 17, 2022.

Justice Sharma, who is currently the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, was elevated as a judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on January 18, 2008.

He was appointed as a permanent judge on January 15, 2010. Later, Justice Sharma was transferred to Karnataka High Court, and eventually assumed charge as the Acting Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court on August 31, 2021.

The judge took oath as Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court on October 11, 2021.
