Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra appointed acting Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court [Read Notification]

The appointment was made in view of the impending retirement of Justice PR Ramachandra Menon who is set to demit office on May 31, 2021.

Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra has been appointed acting Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court and will take charge from June 1, 2021.

A notification to that effect was published by the Ministry of Law and Justice.

The appointment was made in view of the impending retirement of Justice PR Ramachandra Menon who is set to demit office on May 31, 2021.

Justice Mishra enrolled as an advocate in 1987 and practiced before the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur and the High Court Chhattisgarh at Bilaspur.

He served as Additional Advocate General of Chhattisgarh from 2004 to 2007 and thereafter as Advocate General till he became a judge of the High Court in December 2009.
