Justice Sanjay Yadav appointed acting Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court [Read Notification]

On April 9, the Ministry of Law and Justice notified the appointment of the Justice Sanjay Yadav, who is currently the senior most Judge at the Allahabad High Court.

The Central government on Friday notified the appointment of Justice Sanjay Yadav as the Acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court.

The appointment comes in view of the impending retirement of current Chief Justice, Govind Mathur on April 14.

Justice Yadav enrolled at the Bar in 1986 and was elevated as a judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court in 2007.

He served as the Acting Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court from October 06, 2019 till November 02,2019 and from September 30, 2020 till January 02, 2021.

In January, 2021 he was transferred to Allahabad High Court
