Justice Sunil Kumar Awasthi of Madhya Pradesh High Court resigns [Read Notification]

As per the notification published on the website of Law Ministry, Justice Awasthi resigned with effect from January 2, 2021.

Justice Sunil Kumar Awasthi of Madhya Pradesh High Court resigned from office with effect from January 2, 2021.

A notification issued in this regard by the Law Ministry states that Justice Awasthi tendered his resignation in pursuance of Article 217(1)(a) of the Constitution.

Justice Awasthi joined judicial service as Civil judge Class Il in 1985 and served in various capacities at different places as a judicial officer before he was elevated to High Court as additional judge in 2016. He was made permanent judge in March 2018.
