A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed before the Delhi High Court seeking action against persons pasting printouts of the word 'Judge' on their vehicles.

The PIL filed by advocate Sanser Pal Singh has contended that he has seen many vehicles which are using these printouts as well as 'Judge' parking stickers on their vehicles even though they do not belong to the judicial services.

This, the petition said, is in violation of the guidelines and circulars issued by courts.

Singh submitted that use of these printouts is also a security threat because these vehicles are not stopped at court gates for frisking.

The petitioner claimed that he had made written complaints with the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court and even the Principal District Judge, Tis Hazari Courts but not action has been taken on the said complaints as yet.

Apart from seeking action against those using such printouts/ stickers and parking stickers, the plea also prayed for directions so that guidelines can be formulated and legal action be taken against such people.

The petition is likely to come up for hearing before the High Court next week.
