Punjab Government appoints Supreme Court lawyer Shadan Farasat as Additional Advocate General

Advocate on Record Shadan Farasat is an alumnus of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led Punjab Government has appointed Advocate Shadan Farasat as the Additional Advocate General for the State.

Advocate Farasat is an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India.

Farasat has lately appeared in contentious cases of Delhi Government vs Lieutenant Governor concerning administrative control over services and the Constitutional validity of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Farasat is also a recipient of the R Reddy Gold Medal for the best student.

Farasat received an LLM degree from the Harvard Law School in June 2009.
