Senior Advocate Samaraditya Pal of Calcutta High Court passed away on Thursday.

Pal was the husband of retired Supreme Court judge, Justice Ruma Pal.

A graduate in MA, LLB, Pal got his Barrister degree from Inner Temple, London, United Kingdom.

Pal has authored many books including Law Relating to Public Service and India's Constitution-Origins and Evolution.

He has also appeared in noteworthy cases like Singrur land acquisition for Tata Motors, and the panchayat poll case.
