Supreme Court Collegium recommends appointment of four lawyers as judges of Punjab & Haryana High Court

The Punjab & Haryana High Court presently has 40 vacancies as against a sanctioned strength of 85 judges.

The Supreme Court Collegium has approved the proposal to elevate four advocates as judges of the Punjab & Haryana High Court.

A statement to this effect was released after the Collegium meeting held on September 1, 2021.

The following advocates have been recommended as judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court

  1. Vikas Suri

  2. Vinod Sharma (Bhardwaj)

  3. Pankaj Jain

  4. Jasjit Singh Bedi

The Punjab & Haryana High Court presently has 40 vacancies as against a sanctioned strength of 85 judges.
