Collegium recommends appointment of 2 new judges to Andhra Pradesh High Court

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has a sanctioned strength of 37 judges but it currently has only 20 judges as on November 1.

The Supreme Court collegium has recommended the appointment of one lawyer and one judicial officer as judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The lawyer recommended is Dr. K Manmadha Rao and the judicial officer is BS Bhanumathi.

The decision to this effect was taken in a Collegium meeting held on November 11.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has a sanctioned strength of 37 judges but it currently has only 20 judges as on November 1.
