Supreme Court Collegium recommends four for elevation as judges of Orissa High Court

A resolution to this effect was passed pursuant to a Collegium meeting held on September 29.

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended two lawyers and two judicial officers for elevation as judges of the Orissa High Court.

The lawyers so recommended are Aditya Kumar Mohapatra and Mruganka Sekhar Sahoo.

The recommended judicial officers are Radha Krishna Pattanaik and Sashikanta Mishra.

A resolution to this effect was passed pursuant to a Collegium meeting held on September 29.

The Orissa High Court currently has 13 sitting judges, as against a sanctioned strength of 20 judges. Should the Centre process these recommendations, the vacancies will decrease to 3 judges.
