Another Mumbai hire: Alok Sonker joins Luthra & Luthra from Link Legal

Luthra & Luthra has hired Link Legal Associate Partner Alok Sonker as a Partner Designate in its Mumbai office.

Confirming Sonker’s joining, Luthra & Luthra Founder and Managing Partner Rajiv Luthra said,

“Alok will be joining the firm’s Mumbai office as a Partner Designate in the Corporate M&A and Private Equity practice. We, as a firm, are very excited to have Alok on board, as he will add significant value and depth to the firm’s practice.

Alok’s areas of expertise include Mergers & Acquisitions transactions, Private Equity transactions, and Securities Law.

Prior to joining Link Legal in April last year, he was working with Khaitan & Co. He has also worked with Rajani Associates and Krishnamurthy & Co in the past. He is a 2006 graduate of Lucknow University and holds an LL.M. from National Law School of India University, Bangalore.

Recently, Luthra & Luthra had also hired Jay Parikh from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas to boost its corporate practice in Mumbai.
