Luthra Capital Markets Partner Madhurima Mukherjee resigns

Luthra & Luthra Capital Markets Partner Madhurima Mukherjee has resigned from the firm. It was her last working day today.

Speaking to Bar & Bench, Madhurima said, “I have worked with the firm for more than seven years and I have now decided to move on.”

On the decision to leave, she said, “Leaving a place where you have been for more than seven years is never an easy decision.”

Madhurima joined the firm in 2006 and has been with the firm since then heading the firm’s Capital Markets practice. Prior to joining Luthra, Madhurima was working in the Delhi office of Amarchand Mangaldas.

Talking about the firm’s Managing Partner Rajiv Luthra, Madhurima said, “Finding a boss like Mr. Luthra will be tough”.

On her future plans, Madhurima said, “I have no definite plans as of now. I will take it easy for the next few months. I will figure it out as I go along.”

Luthra & Luthra has recently promoted two of its Managing Associates, Amit Shetye and Damini Bhalla to Partnership.

The firm also announced an expansion of the Executive Committee to six members; in addition to Rajiv Luthra, Mohit Saraf and Sameen Vyas, the Committee would now have Vijaya Rao, Sameer Dudhoria and Sundeep Dudeja as members.
