Luthra promotes Kanchan Sinha and Vaibhav Kakkar to partnership

Luthra & Luthra on Saturday promoted two of its Managing Associates, Kanchan Sinha and Vaibhav Kakkar to partnership. Both Kanchan and Vaibhav are part of the corporate practice group. The last round of promotions for Luthra was in August 2013 when two Managing Associates, Amit Shetye and Damini Bhalla were promoted to Partnership. 

Kanchan Sinha, who previoulsy worked at Amarchand Mangaldas as Principal Associate, joined Luthra in July last yearA graduate of National Law Institute University, Bhopal,  she joined Amarchand Mangaldas in 2003 where she worked for 10 years before making the move to Luthra.

Vaibhav is a graduate of National Law University Jodhpur. He started his career with the firm in 2006 and  was made Managing Associate in August 2012. The same year saw him receive  the ‘Managing Partner’s Solitaire Award’.

The firm also saw some major exits in the past year including that of Capital Markets Partner Madhurima Mukherjee, Tax Partner SR Patnaik who moved to Amarchand Mangaldas as Tax Head in Mumbai.

Ajit Warrier, the Litigation Partner also moved to Amarchand Delhi and Partner Nivedita Tiwari left to join MNK Law Offices. The other high profile exit was that of Partner Shweta Hingorani who left the firm for personal reasons.
