[Exclusive]: Ex-Milbank lawyer Sanjeet Malik joins Samvad Partners

Sanjeet Malik has joined Samvad Partners as a Partner in Delhi. Confirming Sanjeet’s joining, Mumbai Partner Vineetha MG said, “We are very happy to have him on board”.

A graduate of Cornell Law School, Sanjeet started his career at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. He worked at Cleary till 2011 after which he joined the Hong Kong office of Milbank Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP.

At Milbank, Sanjeet handled a variety of cross-border corporate and financing transactions.  His practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, private equity and restructuring transactions.

In 2013, Sanjeet resigned from Milbank to pursue opportunities in financing of renewable power projects that serve rural off-grid communities in North India. He founded ‘Various Clean Energy Startups’ in August 2013 and since 2016 he has been practicing independently.

Last year, Samvad’s co-founder Siddharth Raja left the firm, moving to Argus Partners as a Senior Partner.
