Mumbai based AM Law merges into Juris Corp

Juris Corp as part of its expansion plan has absorbed AM Law with the practice of qualified Bombay Solicitor and Founding Partner Mustafa Motiwala along with his team of 6 lawyers. Mustafa’s vast experience will add to the existing practice of Juris Corp.

Founder Partner H. Jayesh in a statement said, “Mustafa and his team joining the firm further enhances the strength of the firm and adds greater depth to the Firm Management. We welcome him and his team to the JC family”.

Mustafa has over 20 years of experience in the areas of Commercial law, Dispute Resolution, IPR and Real Estate. Over the years, he has worked on matters in the areas of Banking, Debt Recovery, Intellectual Property, M&A, Media and Entertainment and also conducted domestic arbitrations relating to commercial matters. Mustafa is also admitted as a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.

Mustafa joins Juris Corp as an Equity Partner. He will oversee the firm’s Corporate Commercial, Dispute Resolution, IPR, Real Estate and Media and Entertainment practice. Out of his team of six lawyers, two lawyers Sonu Tandon and Jay Joshi are Dispute Resolution experts having more than 18 and 11 years of experience respectively.

Mustafa on merging his practice with Juris Corp said, “I am delighted to merge my practice with Juris Corp as I see a lot of synergies.  This merger will boost the existing practice areas and take it to new heights.  Also, lawyers within the firm will gain wider experience with the Firm’s extensive spread of matters in various areas”.

Juris Corp has been on an expansion spree. Juris Corp had recently launched its Delhi office in December 2010.

Last year in October, Juris Corp had celebrated its 10th Anniversary.
