Bangalore-based firm Narasappa, Doraswamy & Raja is strengthening its litigation practice and has promoted Poornima Hatti, currently litigation head at the firm, to partnership. The promotion will take effect from April 1, 2011. Poornima joined NDR in September 2010 to start the dispute resolution practice for the firm.

Bangalore-based firm Narasappa, Doraswamy & Raja is strengthening its litigation practice and has promoted Poornima Hatti, currently litigation head at the firm, to partnership. The promotion will take effect from April 1, 2011. Poornima joined NDR in September 2010 to start the dispute resolution practice for the firm.

A graduate of the National Law School of India University, Poornima has an LLM from the London School of Economics. She has previously worked with Amarchand Mangaldas and Herbert Smith, Singapore.

NDR expanded its practice to dispute resolution to develop a complete and holistic legal practice. The firm is keen to build both an arbitration and litigation practice and is also involved with some public interest issues.

Speaking to Bar & Bench on the promotion, Founding Partner Siddharth Raja said, “Poornima is a great addition to our team, widening its practice base and deepening its strengths”.

The litigation team has one partner and two other team members.  NDR plans to expand its litigation team depending on the growth of the practice.

NDR now consists of 4 partners and 15 lawyers.
