Rishika Srivastava, a graduate of the National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi), has topped the Delhi Judicial Services (DJS)  Examination, 2017. Two other NLU Delhi alumni have also cleared the exam.

Srivastava, a 2016 B.A. LL.B graduate, is also a former member of the NLU Delhi chapter of Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA). She topped the exam with 682.5 marks out of a total of 1000 marks.

The two other alumni who have made it to the DJS are Devanshu Sajlan and Akansha Gautam, both of whom are graduates of the B.A. LL.B program at NLU Delhi. A total of 131 candidates appeared for the interview, with 32 being selected.

Whereas Sajlan is a graduate of the 2014 batch, Gautam is a part of the 2016 batch. Sajlan is presently a litigating lawyer at the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, and other tribunals and forums.

The Delhi Judicial Services Examination has three successive stages of examinations, with all forms of evaluation: objective, subjective and interview.

The results of the preliminary examination for the 2018 DJS exam have also been released on the Delhi High Court website. 675 out of a total of 12,415 candidates have qualified for the finals. The finals for this exam will be held on February 9 and 10, and will consist of four papers – General Knowledge, Criminal Law, Civil Law-I and Civil Law-II.
