Orbit Law gets new Partner, 3 Associate Partners as firm looks to expand

Orbit Law Services has made a couple of top-level hires with a view to expand its practice.

T Ravichandran, a lawyer with more than 30 years’ experience, has joined as a Partner and will head the corporate and commercial litigation practice. He will also be over all in-charge of Chennai operations. Previously, he was in-house legal counsel for National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and Head-Legal of the Sanmar Group of companies.

In Delhi, Sanam Singh has joined as an Associate Partner.  She is a dual-qualified lawyer who has previously worked with Simmons & Simmons and Taylor Wessing in Dubai. Her areas of expertise are corporate and commercial law.

The firm has also expanded its resources in its Mumbai office, with the joining of Vinita Hombalkar as an Associate Partner.  She has more than 25 years’ experience and is a seasoned litigation lawyer specialising in debt recovery matters, insolvency laws and trust and will related matters.

Nirjay Singh, a Mumbai based lawyer with more than 16 years’ experience in the areas of tax advisory and tax litigation, has also joined the Orbit Law team as an Associate Partner and will head the Taxation (Direct Tax and Indirect Tax) practice of the firm.

The firm now has 7 Partners, 10 Associate Partners and 50 lawyers in total across its four offices at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Vijayawada.
