[Breaking]: Pramod Rao leaves Citi to join ICICI as Group General Counsel

Citi India Cluster General Counsel Pramod Rao is leaving the company to rejoin ICICI. He will join ICICI as Group General Counsel, according to sources.

Rao had initially joined ICICI Bank in 1996 and worked there for almost sixteen years. He headed the legal department at ICICI Bank from 2005 to 2012.

In 2012, Rao left ICICI for private practice. He set up IndusLaw’s Mumbai office in 2012 to focus on the firm’s banking and finance practice.

Later, in July 2013, Rao left IndusLaw to join Citibank as General Counsel.

Rao has declined to comment on his latest move.

Recently, Nilanjan Sinha, former Head of Corporate Advisory at Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Co. Ltd, also joined ICICI Bank to head the legal team.
