Preeti Balwani joins Hindustan Coca-Cola as General Counsel

Former Kraft Heinz General Counsel Preeti Balwani has joined Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) as General Counsel. She will be based in Bangalore.

Preeti Balwani is a seasoned commercial attorney with over 15 years of experience both in house and in private practice. She had served as a Partner in law firms prior to moving in-house. In her most recent role, she was General Counsel and Executive Director at Kraft Heinz in India.

She is a graduate from ILS Law College, Pune and also holds a Master’s Degree in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton.

Commenting on her move to HCCB, Balwani said,

“I am delighted to join the senior leadership team at HCCB. HCCB is one of India’s leading FMCG companies and home to some of India’s most iconic brands. With my previous experience in the Food & Beverages sector, I felt Coca-Cola was a natural fit.

As General Counsel at HCCB, it will be my endeavour to serve the rapidly evolving business needs with integrity, precision and agility.”

Balwani has been recognized by Legal 500 in their annual publication of the GC Powerlist (India, 2018). Prior to Kraft Heinz, she has worked at Welspun Group, Singhania & Partners, Khaitan Sud & Partners, and ALMT Legal.
