Rajasthan High Court judge Justice Rajendra Prakash Soni passes away

Justice Soni reportedly suffered a major heart attack which ultimately led to his demise. He was aged 60 years.

Rajasthan High Court judge Justice Rajendra Prakash Soni passed away on Friday, October 11.

According to NDTV Rajasthan, Justice Soni suffered a major heart attack which ultimately led to his demise. He was aged 60 years.

Last night, Justice Soni was admitted to hospital in Jodhpur after he had complained of chest pain and anxiety.

Justice Soni was appointed as the judge of the Rajasthan High Court on January 16, 2023. The Supreme Court collegium had recommended appointing Justice Soni as a judge of the High Court in November 2022.

Before this, he served as the Principal District and Sessions Judge of Dungarpur, Sirohi, Jalore, Udaipur and Kota districts.

Justice Soni also rendered services as the Presiding Officer of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal at Udaipur and at Rajsamand. He has served as Registrar (Administration) of the High Court as well.
