Former Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Partner Avnish Sharma has joined Khaitan & Co as a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice. Avnish will be based out of Khaitan’s New Delhi office.

“Avnish’s addition will further strengthen the Firm’s capabilities in the Real Estate Practice”, the firm stated in its release.

Avnish joined Amarchand Mangaldas in 2007 after doing his Masters in Law from London School of Economics, University of London in 2006. He completed his graduation from Amity Law School, New Delhi in 2005.

He has significant experience in the areas of Real Estate, Private Equity in Real Estate, and Real Estate Financing. Besides conventional conveyancing and leasing, he has extensive experience in foreign investment in real estate and retail sector, including onshore & offshore structuring, development and collaboration transactions, local law advisory and SEZ investments.
