[Exclusive]: SAM Partner Sourav Biswas joins Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Corporate Partner Sourav Kanti De Biswas has left the firm to join Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in Delhi.

Biswas will join Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as a Corporate Partner in the team of Equity Partner and Head of M&A, Akila Agrawalwho had left SAM earlier this year to join CAM.

Confirming his joining, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Managing Partner Cyril Shroff said,

“We welcome Sourav to the firm.”

Biswas is a 2005 graduate of NUJS, Kolkata. He worked for three years with Reliance Communications Limited and Avaya GlobalConnect Limited in their in-house legal departments, before joining Amarchand Mangaldas in 2008. He was made Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in 2015.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Managing Partner Pallavi Shroff said, “We wish him the best.

Biswas’s practice area is M&A and General Corporate advisory. He has extensively advised on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring, delisting, securities laws, foreign investment regime, commercial contracts, corporate compliance, employment law and general corporate matters.

Recently, two Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Partners – Kirat Singh and Rishi Anand have resigned from the firm.
