SCL India to host International conference on Construction Arbitration in Mumbai on May 4

The one-day conference will be held on May 4 at the Four Seasons, Mumbai. Justices Manish Pitale and Kamal Khata of the Bombay High Court are slated to attend as Guests of Honour.

The Society of Construction Law, India (SCL-India) is organising a one day International Conference on Construction Arbitration on May 4 2024 at Mumbai, in collaboration with SCL-Mumbai, a regional chapter of SCL-India.

Bombay High Court judge, Justice Manish Pitale will be the Chief Guest for the event and while Justice Kamal Khata of the Bombay High Court will be the Guest of Honour.

The conference will be on the theme, Catalysing a Robust Ecosystem for Construction Dispute Resolution.

The conference is slated to host around 200 delegates and over 25 eminent speakers of international repute from important jurisdictions around the world including from the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia.

SCL India, presently chaired by Senior Advocate Ratan K, had recently hosted its fourth biennial conference in New Delhi in December 2023.

This event saw the presence of over 50 speakers including, three foreign judges, namely, UK judge, Alexander Nissen KC, of the High Court (Technology and Construction Court-UK); Justice Philip Jeyaretnam, President, Singapore International Commercial Court; and Doug Jones, International Judge, Singapore International Commercial Court.
