LKS Equity Partner Seetharaman S retires to pursue religious endeavours

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Equity Partner Seetharaman Sampath has

resigned from the firm to pursue his religious endeavours.

Confirming this develoment, LKS Managing Partner V Lakshmikumaran said,

“Seetharaman has retired from the firm. He has been nurturing this idea of studying Bhagwat Gita in depth and other religious scriptures and write commentaries on that.

He wants to pursue religious readings and write books. He is leaving with our blessings.”

Seetharaman was heading the firm’s competition law, international trade and corporate law practice verticals.

He has been with the firm for 17 years. He focused on international trade law, with a special focus on GATT and other WTO agreements.

V Lakshmikumaran added,

“He has mentored many juniors. Partners Dhruv Gupta and Atul Sharma are now handling the international trade practice of the firm with a team of 11 lawyers.”

Before joining LKS in 2000, he was a civil servant and served the government.
