Senior Advocate C Natarajan passes away

Renowned tax lawyer, Senior Advocate C Natarajan passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning at the age of 81 years.

Born on November 9, 1937, C Natarajan obtained his law degree from the Madras Law College in 1960. He went on to complete a course in personnel management and industrial relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). Thereafter, he enrolled as an advocate with the Madras Bar in 1961.  

He was designated a Senior Advocate in 1996. He was nominated as member of two successive High Power Taxation Reforms Committees, constituted by the Central Government in 1991 and 1996.

He is survived by his wife and three sons. Two of his sons, N Sriprakash and N Prasad are practicing lawyers at the Madras High Court.
