Senior Advocate and former Kerala Advocate General KP Dandapani passes away

Dandapani served as the Advocate General of Kerala from 2011 to 2016.

Senior Advocate and former Advocate General of Kerala KP Dandapani passed away on Tuesday.

He served as the Advocate General of Kerala from 2011 to 2016.

Dandapani enrolled as an advocate in the late 1960's after graduating from the Ernakulam Government Law College.

He soon started independent law practice with his wife, Senior Advocate Sumathi Dandapani who continues to practice before the Kerala High Court.

In 1996, Dandapani was appointed a judge of the Kerala High Court but he resigned after five months when he was transferred to the Gujarat High Court.

He also served as the standing counsel for many organisations including National Institute of Technology Kozhikode, Greater Cochin Development Authority, KITEX companies, among many others.
