Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas loses Partner Ravindra Bandhakavi + team to Trilegal

Trilegal has hired Amarchand Mangaldas Partner Ravindra Bandhakavi as an Equity Partner confirmed Trilegal Senior Partner Anand Prasad.

It is understood that Ravindra, who was to be made Equity Partner in the new partnership – Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, is moving to Trilegal along with his entire team.

“Trilegal is pleased to welcome Ravindra Bandhakavi as a partner of the firm.  Ravi joins us from Amarchand Mangaldas where he was a partner and practice leader in the corporate department.  He will be based in Trilegal’s Delhi office and is expected to join the firm shortly.”

A graduate of National Law School of India Univeristy, Bangalore, Bandhkavi worked in the Mumbai office of Amarchand Mangaldas for five years after which he went for an MBA from London Business School.

He returned to India and joined private equity firm Sun Apollo as general counsel.

In 2009, he rejoined Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai as a Partner and was part of the corporate team. Later he moved to the Delhi office.

It is also understood that Amarchand Mangaldas Delhi Principal Associates Aarti Joshi (Capital markets) and Mekhla Anand (Tax) have also resigned from the firm. Both Aarti and Mekhla are graduates of National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Aarti started her career at Amarchand Delhi and has resigned from the firm after spending almost 11 years. Mekhla joined the firm in 2011. She has previosuly worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers India.
