Joining the firm are Rajiv Bais, who was earlier Company Secretary at the State Electricity Company (Indore); Rakesh Jain, a lawyer and Finance Professional. He has worked with Tata International Ltd. for more than a decade.

The other two associate partners include Tanay Kasera, a qualified Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and a Chartered Member of Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment of United Kingdom (CISI, UK); and Akshat Pahadia, a qualified lawyer, supervising the dispute resolution and the litigation wing of the firm.

Commenting on the development, Pradeep Kumar Jain, Managing Partner at Mumbai & Indore Office, commented,

“We are fortunate to have a diverse team comprising of Lawyers, Company Secretaries and Finance Professionals, and most with dual qualifications. I feel that Indore Office is One-Stop shop for all compliance and regulatory needs of our clients, especially with respect to GST, which is slated to be the biggest economic reform since Independence.

The Indore Office will be a hub of Indirect Tax practice of the Firm, while it would continue to provide services on all other areas as well. There is still a lot of surmise in the minds of the clients with respect to the new tax regime. With this team, whose cumulative years of experience are nearly half a decade, Indore Office is completely geared to provide end to end services with respect to GST – right from advising on transitional provisions, hand holding through the process of GST transition, post GST compliance checks and dispute resolution related to implementation of GST.”
