Ex-Snapdeal GC Ashish Chandra joins Astro Malaysia Holdings

Ashish Chandra, who had recently resigned from Snapdeal as General Counsel, has moved to Kuala Lumpur and joined Astro Malaysia Holdings, a Malaysian and ASEAN content and consumer company.

Chandra has joined as Vice President and Head Counsel and will be providing legal, strategic and regulatory leadership to Astro Malaysia.

Chandra had joined Snapdeal in September 2014, where he created and mentored a team of 22 attorneys.

At Snapdeal, he led the legal and tax structure, and was involved in the negotiation and conclusion of multiple financing and acquisition deals aggregating more than $1.5 billion across multiple jurisdictions.

Recently, Chandra has also made an angel investment in a start up ofish.
