Supreme Court Collegium recommends appointment of 7 new judges to Gujarat High Court

The Gujarat High Court is currently functioning with 26 judges while its sanctioned strength is 52 judges, a vacancy position of 50 percent.

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the names of seven lawyers for appointment as judges of Gujarat High Court.

The lawyers recommended are:

1. Mauna Manish Bhatt

2. Samir J Dave

3. Hemant M Prachchhak

4. Sandeep N Bhatt

5. Aniruddha Pradyumna Mayee

6. Niral Rashmikant Mehta, and

7. Nisha Mahendrabhai Thakore

One of the recommended lawyers, AP Mayee is a Supreme Court Advocate- on-Record.
