Supreme Court Collegium recommends appointment of 14 advocates as Bombay High Court judges

The recommendations were made through two separate resolutions.

The Supreme Court collegium on August 19 recommended the appointment of 14 advocates as Bombay High Court judges.

The recommendations were made through two separate resolutions.

In one resolution, the following eight lawyers were recommended:

  1. Siddheshwar Sundarrao Thombre

  2. Mehroz Ashraf Khan Pathan

  3. Ranjitsinha Raja Bhonsale

  4. Sandesh Dadasaheb Patil

  5. Shreeram Vinayak Shirsat

  6. Hiten Shamrao Venegavkar

  7. Rajnish Ratnakar Vyas

  8. Raj Damodar Wakode

By way of a separate resolution, the following six were recommended:

  1. Nandesh Shankarrao Deshpande

  2. Amit Satyavan Jamsandekar

  3. Ashish Sahadev Chavan

  4. Vaishali Nimbajirao Patil-Jadhav

  5. Abasaheb Dharmaji Shinde

  6. Farhan Parvez Dubash

Advocate Venegavkar is the currently serving as the Chief Public Prosecutor for Maharashtra while Advocate Dubash holds the position of secretary at the Bombay Bar Association.
