Tatva Legal Partner Timothy Franklyn selected as Obama Scholar at Columbia University

Franklyn is the only Obama Scholar to have been chosen from India.

Tatva Legal Bangalore Partner Timothy Franklyn has been selected as an Obama Scholar, one of 11 rising leaders from around the world who will study at Columbia University, New York for the 2020-21 academic year. He will take a sabbatical from the firm during this period.

Franklyn is the only Obama Scholar to have been chosen from India.

Before working at Tatva Legal, Franklyn has worked as a corporate finance lawyer at international firms like Allen and Overy, DLA Piper, and Jones Day.

He is also the founder of the National School of Journalism (NSOJ) in Bangalore.

Franklyn completed his LL.B from University Law College, Bangalore, and holds an LL.M degree from the London School of Economics.

Over the course of his career as a lawyer, Franklyn has advised governments, corporations and global investment banks on international corporate finance.
